[Text] Checking In

Hey all,
Long story shot, things have gotten insanely busy for me at work. So much so that I've barely had time to come up for air. I've got a few minutes now, though, so how has everyone been?

Date: 2006-10-11 11:26 am (UTC)You?
Re: *Text*
Date: 2006-10-11 04:23 pm (UTC)I've been nothing but busy. I've basically been yanked from one assignment to the next with barely any time for rest.
Enjoy your vacation, man.

Thanks, man. Watch your back.

Date: 2006-10-11 04:32 am (UTC)I'm just on the computer for work... there's this whole thing going on in Los Angeles that I think I'm going to take a role in. How's work?
[locked]I think somebody's infecting people with T-Veronica. I'm going to find out who.[/locked]
Re: [text]
Date: 2006-10-11 05:15 am (UTC)[locked]What!?
Jesus. Do you have any leads?[/locked]
Re: [text]
Date: 2006-10-11 10:57 pm (UTC)[locked]I recognize the symptoms. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's Veronica.
I've got a couple, and the LAPD is taking this kind of personally since a bioweapon just trashed one of their morgues. I think I'm going to go have a talk with the victim's boss in a bit.[/locked]
Re: [text]
Date: 2006-10-12 03:12 am (UTC)[locked]Is the bioweapon still on the loose?
The LAPD will likely be kind of stingy with this regardless, but still make sure a sample gets forwarded to STARS.[/locked]
Re: [text]
Date: 2006-10-12 03:44 am (UTC)[locked]No, it burned itself out while it was fighting me. At least, that's my guess... it eventually just fell over and died.
Yeah, I already took care of it. The real trick is making them feel like they're being told everything while not telling them what I can't tell them, if that makes any sense at all.[/locked]
[locked]
Date: 2006-10-12 04:13 am (UTC)That makes perfect sense, actually. One of the tougher aspects of this is filtering out certain bits of info. I find it easier to not mention certain things as opposed to lying or even telling them "it's classified".
Re: [locked]
Date: 2006-10-13 08:02 pm (UTC)They need to teach a course on consistent lying or something.
Re: [locked]
Date: 2006-10-14 03:56 am (UTC)...They do teach a course on that. Several courses, actually.

Date: 2006-10-11 05:28 am (UTC)A... a lot has happened. And I'd rather talk to you about all of it in person. Whenever you've got the time off, just let me know. We can arrange something.

Date: 2006-10-11 05:40 am (UTC)I'll call you as soon as I can.

Date: 2006-10-11 07:03 pm (UTC)Glad to hear you're alright. How's Henry?
How're both Henry's, for that matter, and Liz?
no subject
Date: 2006-10-11 10:17 pm (UTC)Henry Sherman-Townshend's all right, and I haven't heard anything pointing to the boys being anything but. Liz was still pretty
depressedworn out when last I talked to her, but she mentioned something about looking into going on an exorcism mission sometime soon, so hopefully it'll feel nice to be back to work and stuff.no subject

Date: 2006-10-16 05:50 am (UTC)Normal, then. Good to hear.

Date: 2006-10-16 06:03 am (UTC)For the most part. It feels good to get back to work, though, even with all the aches and pains that come with it.

Date: 2006-10-16 06:09 am (UTC)Ah, excellent. And Hunnigan? Is she doing ok?
no subject
Date: 2006-10-16 06:24 am (UTC)Well, almost everyone. How is Spanky?
Hunnigan is doing good. She's probably one of the few people around who is actually busier than I am, though.

Date: 2006-10-16 10:32 pm (UTC)Hee, he's good. He... ran off for a bit, so I'm trying to track him down again... but he's good. I'm pretty sure I got him to gain a few pounds, too.
She seems the type to relish in it, so I guess all's well.
no subject
Date: 2006-10-17 05:04 am (UTC)He could probably use a few extra pounds. Though, why'd he run off?
Did you show him your boobs again?Yeah, she does. She's very good at her job, too.

Date: 2006-10-17 12:56 pm (UTC)Well... it's... I don't know. He's been real stressed lately.
And well, he didn't seem to mind them THIS time. >_> Didn't run off until later though, so... I figure he's just being a guy.no subject
Date: 2006-10-17 05:47 pm (UTC)Wonder what's bothering him.
Guys don't just run off for no reason.no subject
Date: 2006-10-18 02:18 am (UTC)I don't know... he doesn't really tell me until after kind of the fever pitch if something's bothering him... he's pretty introverted.
Not unless there's Big Damn Heroing to do, that is. Are we forgetting a certain Mr. Redfield?no subject
