OOC - More Music!

For the most part, my tastes in music center around Hip-hop/R&B and Jazz, but my tastes have expanded quite a bit over the years largely because most rap music nowadays SUCKS SO FUCKING HARD ARRRGH!!!! to include everything from classical to metal to techno-ish... so here's a little taste of it.
1. Bounty Killer feat. The Fugees - Hip-Hopera -- This is a strange mix of reggae, hip-hop, with a few classical and techno overtones. It's weird, but I like it.
2. Lost Boyz - Music Makes Me High -- These guys grew up about 9 blocks away from me, so I have to put them up here. This is more energetic party hip-hop.
3. Wyclef Jean feat. Product G&B, and Earth, Wind, and Fire - Runaway -- This is a good blend of 70's soul and modern R&B.
4. Rakim - Follow the Leader and Uplift-- Rakim (with DJ Eric B.) was one of the pioneers of rap music in the early 80's. Why more people don't worship him, I'll never know. The former is was one of his biggest hits in the late 80's, while the latter is one of his more recent efforts
5. Hanz Zimmer - Roll Tide -- This is the main opening theme, from the score to the movie Crimson Tide.
6. Johann Pachabel - Canon -- A classical piece performed on strings.
7. Klaus Badelt - He's A Pirate, and The Black Pearl -- All from the score of the film Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl. The first one is filled with energy, which is why I think it fits for Nate Grey, while The Black Pearl has a certain elegance to it.
8. Junichi Nakatsuru - If There Were Any Other Way and No Turning Back -- From the videogame Soul Calibur II. The former has a more desperate feel to the music, while the later has this spanish sound that I like.
9. Hanz Zimmer - A Hard Teacher -- From The Last Samurai movie score, this is actually very light, airy, and kinda soothing.
10. Art of Noise - Moments In Love (extended mix) -- this is an odd soft jazz, techno, industrial mix, that works.
There will be more stuff added later tonight. I just don't feel like uploading it to yousendit right now.

Date: 2006-04-05 07:33 am (UTC)Dude. You should SO gimmee some of your Animaniacs music.Yeeeeeah, still, like I said, IC, everyone thinks that Ramon needs to go to the pokey NOW. And he himself is under that impression that he's required to immediately instead of waiting for Saddler to reappear, lest Claire keep bitching and hating Hips. They need to hear it from Leon that there's no immediate rush and that the prior agreement still stands. Since they both think said agreement was blown outta the water by what resulted of Claire's tantrum. :/
