Leon remained on the ground for the moment. His head was still dazed from the recent explosion, and the chunks of plaster that fell on him had knocked some of the wind out of him.
He looked around a little, seeing the world in a clouded haze. The agent he was partnered with was starting to stir a few feet away from him. Another agent, a british MI5 agent from the looks of her uniform, was checking on them both. He couldn't hear what she was saying over the ringing in his ears. More agents from the the joint US/UK team were filing in, clearing the scene.
He smirked to himself. They entered the small house when the terrorist they were after had started to make his bombs. He got startled, dropped something, and up he went. Wasn't much left of the scene to clear after that.
Leon sat up and rubbed his head, wondering how his life got like this. Then glanced at his watch, saw the date, and remembered how his life got like this.
Raccoon City... One night, so long ago, and things haven't been the same since.
