Still Gone...

governmentninjaThere was a slight change in Leon's apartment. The guns, knife, and badge that he left behind were now gone. His PINpoint and futurephone were missing as well, and both items remained turned off. The birthday gift Claire left behind (and he knew it was from her without needing to see any tags; she was the only person who knew it was his birthday) was stashed somewhere safe.
He still wasn't around, though, as he was back at work again. Given that the STARS team is still in training and have yet to be cleared for active duty (not to mention that there was someone in the DoD that was seriously pushing for them to be shut down before they ever got started), Leon requested to be temporarily assigned elsewhere. Though he's still going to be STRATCOM's liaison officer assigned to STARS, he was currently back at his previous detail, protecting the President and the First Family.
Knowing what he now knows about Saddler, he feels it's the best place to be. Given that Saddler sent thousands of ganados into the nexus to die to show that he had the manpower to waste like that, Leon wouldn't put it past the bastard to make a run at The President, or Ashley, just because he could. Not that he could do much to prevent it, but if it were to happen, he wanted to be in a better position to play defense.
