Claire walked up to Leon's seat, flopped onto the bench, and drank half the bottle of water before pausing to say, "Thanks."
She poured a little of it into Molly's bowl, who gratefully lapped it up, then jumped into Claire's lap. Claire and the bench nearly went over backward, and Claire wound up face-to-face with Molly giving the dog a dirty look.
