Emotional Whiplash

To be honest, Hips boffing Salazar was... well, gross, disgusting, disturbing, and it really pissed him off that he had trusted Hips, and she betrayed him. But, in the grand scheme of things, Leon did have more important things to deal with.

Over the last several weeks:

Chris had been kidnapped, Claire went off on a rampage looking for him, Liz had been kidnapped, Wesker got a new business partner, Claire came back after several weeks without finding Chris and was emotionally burned out and broken, Wesker cut out Chris's eye and mailed it to Becky, an attempt to rescue Liz (which Leon wasn't able to be a part of) had failed, a Tyrant tore through the Brooklyn building, his relationship with Claire seemed to be on the brink of falling apart, somehow plaga parasites had made their way to Becky's Raccoon City (one which everyone had fought so hard to save from a T-Virus outbreak months ago), and then he found out that Hips and Salazar had been blatantly lying to everyone and carrying on their disturbing affair for months which they hid behind the pretense of "rehabilitation".

So, yeah, it was a shitty time, not only for Leon, but for a lot of people. There was this emotionally grinding, massive wave of angst all around him, and it seemed that things would continue to just get worse. The pressure was mounting, and while Leon wasn't about to buckle under it, the cracks were starting to show. For Leon, a man who is all about setting things right, it was difficult to see so many things go wrong, and be able to do nothing about it. While he still believed that everything would still be all right in the end, his relentless optimism had taking a severe beating. He desperately needed something to go right soon.

And, finally, something did.

Jill got Chris back. She had to trade back Reno and Elena (Umbrella/Shinra operatives that were captured during the Tyrant attack) to get him, but Chris was back, so it was worth it.

He hadn't seen Chris yet, he didn't have time to. Right now he was busy getting ready to head to Raccoon City, to save it all over again. But he was glad Chris was back, and now that one thing had gone right, hopefully a few others things would follow suit. Hell, Claire already seemed happier, and Leon felt like some of the pressure had been lifted off his shoulders.

There was still more work to be done, though, but Leon knew it would be done. It was time for him to do his part to help set things right, starting with Raccoon City.


((OOC: Because the Raccoon City/GGW plot is on hold until Friday, Leon is sort of in an rp-limbo at the moment. If anyone needs him for anything, then feel free to poke me, because Time Has No Meaning, but otherwise, don't expect to see Leon around in general.))
