Yeah... Their exoskeletion is tough. Nothing less than a .45 will get through it normally. If you can get your hands on something heavier, use it. They also can move quickly... very quickly.
Cold will slow them down, also causes thier shells to soften, weakening them, but won't kill them. The more extreme the cold, the better. I lucked out with there being several cans of liquid nitrogen lying around.
